Welcome to my Self Help Blog. I have been on a Self Improvement path for several years. I started on this path as a money hungry, self absorbed ass. I got to the point where I did not like my self. I asked myself the question. “Would I be my friend?” The answer was NO. I have learned that my journey will never end. I will constantly be on my path, learning threw Self Help Audio and Self Improvement Books. Enjoy your walk.

How to loose weight

by david 13. October 2008 12:06

I cannot tell you how many emails I get how to loose weight. This is simple people. No fancy diets are needs. Just plain common sense.

First and foremost, loose the word diet from your vocabulary. The word diet means pain. Why would we put ourselves threw all that pain. The answer is... We won't, or at least for not that long. So here is how to do this. Get a sheet of paper. Put a line down the center. On the left side put "PAIN" at the top. On the right, put "PLEASURE" Now right down all the pains and pleasures of loosing weight. I hope you fine you have more pleasures than pain. If you don't. You are in trouble. Your mind will catch on and realize this is not worth it and quit. Ok, so hopefully you have more in the right column. Refer to that list often. Most people have a hard time with motivation. So here is what you do. TELL EVERYONE!!!! Tell them exactly how much weight you are going to loose in the next 6 months to a year. Make a poster and put it where everyone can see it. Try to find one or more people to do the same with you. Then when that procrastination comes a calling, you will remind yourself how many people you told. Now to the easy part... Losing the weight is simple.

Break your meals up into 6-8 meals. Drink a ton of water. Work fiber in with every meal. Try to lower your calories as much as possible. Start off slow. Buy a pedometer and walk like crazy. I suggest a good brand on my site. There are a couple of free sites out there that can tell you how many calories you are eating and how many you need to eat for your weight. Here is a good site to see how many calories in the food you eat  http://www.thecaloriecounter.com/ This next site will tell you how many calories to take to loose http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm
